Accommodations
Our "camp" for the week was originally a 17th century convent located above the small town of Lucca in the northern regions of Tuscany, making it an ideal location to explore the cost, Florence and Pisa.
Set among a landscape of hills, woods and ponds, bordering the village of Lucca, the villa is a haven of peace in its own large park.
Built in the 17th c. on the terraced slopes just outside of Lucca, the original convent has been restored with care into a high quality villa that sleeps 18 people in great comfort. The mature garden has old growth trees, roses, lavender, bougainvillea. The pool and terraces offer panoramic views over the city and the valley below. The location of the Villa is on the northern hills 6 km outside the walled city of Lucca with downtown Florence about 1 hour away by car or train, half an hour to the sea; the ideal location to explore Tuscany and beyond. At Villa La Cappella you can enjoy the panoramic views and dining al fresco in the many terraces of the well kept garden.
